Echoes Made Visible

In November 2010, Bill Fontana’s Sonic Shadows was installed in SFMOMA. Ambient sounds of the museum itself danced across the walls and through people’s heads. For the last days of the installation, Deborah Slater choreographed Echoes Made Visible, a performance for the partially transparent fifth floor bridge over the atrium. Watched from below, the seemingly weightless dancers moved through angles and light. These photographs are from the 3:00pm November 5, 2011 performance.

Dancers: Melissa Caywood, Kelly Kemp, Wendy Rein

Kim Boekbinder at the Brick and Mortar Music Hall

Kim Boekbinder played the first show of her Impossible Tour in San Francisco on October 16, 2011, at the Brick and Mortar Music Hall. The tour was pre-sold on Kickstarter. For a show to happen, enough people in had to fund it. San Francisco was one of the first shows to be successfully funded. The love was really obvious that night. Together, we brought her to San Francisco, and she played a really amazing show.
